I tried to attach my Icewind dale saved game to hotmail and it's not allowing me because I'm told they is infected with a virus. I scanned the files with Norton (newly updated) and they seem to be clear from viruses.
Do you think it's possible Dalekeepr is seen as a virus? Every time I run it a mesage pops up saying they don't recognize the creators of the software. Though, when I try to move the saved files from disk to my hard drive the disk is read by my computer as unreadable. I tried with two different disks. bigdndfan,
Sounds like you have virus or a HW problem, though I doubt that Dalekeeper is the culprit (unless it is infected by the virus). 1.) Try attaching a game file that has not been modified by DK. 2.) If that works: try modifying that same file with DK and then open with IWD and re-save, then send that file. 3.) Finally, modify the same file with DK and then send. If no attempts to send are successful, then I would highly suspect a virus or possibly an overly aggressive filter in Hotmail. If only Step 1. works, then I would suspect a virus has gotten to DK. If only Step 1. and 2. work, then, again, I would suspect Hotmail's filter. (If all three steps work, then your problem has gone away.) Hope this helps. -------------------- What's a party, without a song? Bards ROCK! Party On!! [ 01-11-2005, 08:23 PM: Message edited by: NobleNick ] |
