Well this newbie has cleared yet another hurdle in the game. I have completed Severed hand and am moving on to Dorn's deep. My party is working well together. I have to say for the most part SH didn't offer me any pause. I just kept barrelling though each floor and level of the tower. It took me a while to learn to pause when I enter a battle and find out where the casters are and hit them first. Now unless there are many casters I can take them out before they get off any spells. That makes the battle so much easier.
My party consists of level 8's & 9's now. Actually only the Mage is nine the others are 8's.

Wow, you've surpassed my progress in the game by a longshot. And here I thought I had found a kindred spirit to work through the game with. Stupid boyfriend/baseball/swingdancing. Must get my priorities straight!

What can I say? It sounds like you have a life and I well I guess I don't. The weather being what it is and my not having an interest in sports means I play more. If the weather were better I would be out and about. The parkway is beautiful this time of year. But after this weekend the leaves will be history. I would rather play games than fight traffic in the rain on the parkway.

You'll catch up to me in no time. SH is a breeze to get through.

I really hated Dorns Deep for the first 10mins or so, then you hit that bit with the bridge and the large battle. Its great from then on, but I just hate those damn blue myomids (cant remember spelling, sorry). Theyre such a pain, with their confusion and suchlike for barely any exp.

Dancing Virginia... Stupid boyfriend? Well, if you'd have boyfriend like me, we would play IWD together over LAN :)))) What a problem?? ;)

Soothsayer... you just need good savings or... cast some mind protection spell or quaff a potion (I think it is potion of clarity, but not sure for 100%).
And their name is really stupid, mycoid, or so.

<font color = mediumspringgreen>Myconids, IIRC, or Myconoids. And they don't offer much of a problem for a physical party with solid melee and ranged skills: Turn 'em into mushroom soup really fast. Low XP is a bummer.

Bards ROCK!
Party On!!
