i had the supply note in my inventory and junked it before i knew what it was and now i need it and it doesn't appear to be anywhere in town. did the game just eat it? how do i get it back.

its the Hrothgar supply note for pomab. I CAN'T FIND IT!!! i dropped it somewhere. i been all over that town. So i'm also thinking i already gave it to pomab cuz when i finished up there i went to get more arrows. Anyways, i go back and talk to Hrothgar and he says i have to give that silly supply list to pomab. I dunno what to do now, do i have to start over?

Hi! I've found that anything I have dropped in someone's house/office/shop was lost. The other guys can verify this. I canot remember that the supply note was that critical, though? I remeber that the caravan contract was of some importance but not the supply note? If you decide to start over though, I'm sure you'll run through the game much quicker, I've done it once like that and that was my experience...

Yes, the supply note is important-- not in itself but because it gives you the option to tell Pomab that Hrothgar needs supplies for the trip. IIRC, the note is simply removed automatically from your inventory when you choose that dialog option (meaning that you never "give" the note to Pomab).

Naturally, until Hrothgar "receives" the supplies, he's not going to leave. Basically this whole interaction is signalling the ending of the Prologue to the game, and letting it know that you may now choose to begin the next chapter.

If nobody has the note, and you don't really want to do all the tutorial quests again, I would just fire up DaleKeeper and add the Supply Note back to somebody's inventory, then return to Pomab and tell him that Hrothgar needs supplies.

Although "normal" items will go away after a bit; nothing needed to complete a quest ever disappears, except possibly if the game is bugged.

I second mutub's advice: Use Dalekeeper. Or, if you want more expo, fire up a new game, reroll ONE of your party's characters and make him/her leader in the new game. Then export other 5 from old game and import them into new game to complete your 6 person party.

As an aside: To keep even normal items around indefinitely, store them in any open chest or drawer in any establishment in Kuldahar. This is especially useful for storing up, say, Yeti pelts, so that you can sell them all at once and get the best price; or storing all the potions you get; so that you can have them later, if needed, or sell each type all at once to get the best price.

Or if you have HoW, you can use Alt to try and find it... since its game critical it would never disappear as mentioned by Noble Nick, so it could be just lying there somewhere on the ground

Yes, Alt-key highlighting. Excellent advice, ZFR.

Tyranny]Sin[ : Hopefully you have been saving often and to incremental games names (e.g., EastHaven_01, EastHaven_02, etc.) If so, then you can go back a bit in time and pick up at the last game where you know you have the note and trace forward from there. If you haven't been saving, now is the time to develope the habit. Otherwise, you'll be crying crocodile tears later in the game.

thanks for all the replys.. i ended up starting over again no biggie.. but the note was gone. i played for about an hour trying to recover it, i know about the Alt key. I'm a avid BG2 player. Anyways thanks for all the help. I don't use dale keeper or any of that ill cuz it takes the fun out the game. Dying and such is a thrill!! to me anyways =\
