But what about age, for instance?

I'm 33, married with 2 kids (don't snicker now young 'uns!)

I've got a gut feel that there might just be a more mature set of characters enjoying the frills and spills of IWD?</font>

As an early teenager, I was mildly into Dungeons & Dragons- I played with a couple of friends occasionally, but no all-nighters or anything. The games were OK, but not great; probably a result of a crummy dungeon master or my lack of imagination or both. I love being able to play the same kind of game, actually see it, and play it at my convenience, picking up right where I left off.

Well... If old = mature, then me thinks I'm leading the pack, so far: M, 43, Electrical/Systems Engineer, married, one girl (10) and a boy (8).

I have been fascinated with computer games ever since I got access to a mainframe via a 300 baud remote link to my school district headquarter's teletype terminal, back in 1976. (I got all the time I wanted; because no one else knew how to run it!) I got my first PC in '84 (an Apple 2e, 1Mz [IIRC], green screen, 256K RAM, one 5-1/4" floppy, no hard drive, and 300/1200 baud modem, for a bit over $3,300). This was in the days before the web, when only BBSs existed, and the better BBS admins boasted servers with 5MB hard drives and 1.2Kb/s connections, all over the phone lines, of course. First commercial game I remember playing on my screaming new machine: The original "Wizardry." </font>

Im Male, 21 years old, got into all things fantasy very young - used to play board games like Heroquest, Advanced Heroquest and Talisman, aswell as collect lead miniatures etc. etc.

I was hooked on Baldurs Gate when I first began playing it, and I now have all the games using the same engine (BG+TotSC, BG2+ToB, IWD+HoW, IWD2). I havent actually played them all yet, but this is a good thing as there are still many hours of gameplay left for me!! [img]smile.gif[/img]
