In the tomb of King Kresselack, there is a corridor on the first floor that leads to a booby-trapped room, as it turns out. The trap cannot be detected and upon springing sends a sleeping bolt out that put my whole party to sleep, rendering them at the mercy of the skeletons which suddenly appear out of doors in the walls. Or so I thought. Prior to sending in my thief to scout the room out, I had my cleric Turning Undead and my bard Singing. They were both included in the sleep spell, but much to my surprise continued to Turn and Sing! I personally consider this a bug and not a feature (at least the Singing anyway). As a result, not one person in my party lost a single hitpoint while asleep.
The End ;) |
Hey... people do talk in their sleep you know. ;) Sure... it is all gravelly and such... but it can and has happened. ;)

What a great quirk! That is even more fun than turning undead while invisible (unfortunately, singing cancels invisibility).

Your people should wake up the minute they are hit. This was a major bug in Baldur's Gate where people who were sleeping would stay asleep, even as others began to pound them with clubs. A nasty thing, that.
About the Bard/Invisibility thing; What if your mage cast invisibility on the bard while he was singing? Cheers, Moiraine Sedai |
