Hey; has anyone ever found the Vocalize spell? It bugs me that it's in the book, but I've never found it. I might do my only cheat and make like the gods passed the spell down to my Mage or some such thing. Not that it's that great, but...
Also, my hard disk drive bit the big one [an IBM SCSI!], so, if you value your current game too much, you best save it to a CD or something (especially those perfect characters you spent hours rolling). GRRRRRR! |
I don't think I have, but I think that some of the spells may be Difficulty-Level dependant. I've never seen Mind Blank either (not that it works if you edit it in and try it).
If their availability is not predicated by Difficulty, then it may most likely be a regional variation i.e. the European/USA version does/doesn't have it, but I'm not sure. For all we know, it may never have been implemented fully into the game. |
Thanks.
. . I guess I'll make it: "a parting gift from mage school". It's a better 2nd level spell than "Detect Evil or "Know Alignment" (at least for IWD). "CHEATS ON!"..."CHEATS OFF!" |
Alot of these spells can sometimes be found in the different store inventories. I do beleive the Mage's invintory in Kundahar actually changes as you progress through the game so it is often good to go back and visit occassionaly to see if he has a new selection of spells to select from. The same may also apply to other merchants.

In BG:II vocalize is a common spell. Of the three chapter s I've played in IWD, I don't think I've seen it... :embarasssed:

Quick note:
. . . Nym's Exotic Goods - Hidden City of Gnomes sells (I think) the Mind Blank spell. Don't kill this dude until you have done all quests/purchases with him. Too bad that ghost in Lower Dorn's Deep doesn't reward you for offing Nym (you would think so). |
