I cannot afford any good items as they are all too expensive! How do i get more than 2000 gold?

It depends where you are inthe game-if you are starting out, then don't worry, the money will come in-I've just begun chapter 4 and I have about 30,000 gold and I've bought everything available that I want. 1. Check all the boxes...and corpses that you find/kill-they often have money on them/things of value, watch out for the table...going blue and a ring appearing 2. Find a species that yields money on dying and rest in a dangerous area so extra monsters (and thus money) is generated 3. Avoid using the potions/spells... unless you absolutely have to-these sell for loads and you can do without them 4. Identify items before selling them-unidentified it may be going for 10 times less than what it is worth 5. Get the character with the best charisma to buy and sell-you'll get better value for money Hope that helps-although a lot of the items you end up using will be ones you find later on (i.e. continually upgrading). |
or if you dont feel like gaining money the honest way, you could use the cheat console or dalekeeper.

Hello,
- DON'T use the editor to get money! If you do, then you really will care a lot less about the game. No, really. You can use the editor to: correct any character characteristics (stats), recover lost quest items (i.e., your power went out, your files became corrupted, etc.), see what's in the game. Give yourself an extra thousand or two at the beginning if you must, but finding, selling, acquiring, and purchasing is an important part of the game. - You will really want the super expensive stuff, and save-up for it! However, by the time that you can afford them, you'll only want to buy a couple because you've found better stuff along the way. Still, you want to have plenty of cash for the later part of the game. - Twilight |

I'm a big fan of Dalekeeper and its brethren, but I have to agree with my "esteemed colleagues" on this one. It looks tough now, but keep exploring and kicking a$$ and you'll end up find items you really like. I end up using quite a few of the good ones till right near the end (or special ability occasions). So don't panic.
DK has its uses, but this isn't one of them. [ 09-13-2002, 03:39 AM: Message edited by: Lord Brass ] |
why do you think they included looting and bounty hunting in this game? any good guess?
.... because you have to work for the many just like in real life. using the editor's will just spoil your interest with the game. if you have a thief... then use him. |
