can anyone help me??? im stuck on the second level of kresselecks tomb. i can't seem to open the door with all the gears. i know where the switch is at but when i try to activate it, it says that its locked. i need help on this so please give me a tip or solution.

You need to find the Black Wolf Talisman - it is on a corpse in the room with the ghasts on the same level.

you have to explore that dungeon before you can proceed... maybe you left some passages

There are two additional rooms left and right of the stairs you go up when you find the pillar with the switch on it. They lie between the stairs and the small side "alcoves". Mind you, you probably spotted them using the 'M' key and noticing the symmetry of the map.

Hmm this is a classic, I had this problem to. Before you try what the other guys said look at the the 3 pillars by the gate. You see the one furthest right? Look on the inside of it, there is a gear there that isn't very easy to see, your problem could lie here.

Sorry I've just re-read your post and my answer was useless :( . The only things I can think of is what the others have said.
