I recently started playing Icewind. I was doing just fine until I got to Dragon's Eye, and encountered that rotten cult... seems like no matter what I do, I can't beat them, even with the help of the other spell casters.

If anyone could give me some tips on how to beat them, I'd be very greatful.
Thanks!

OK, two points. First up, you can find some assistants in one of the rooms to the north west. They should make the fight quite easy, but ive always saved them for the next stage.

Second, the best place to fight is in the entry chamber since its the only one where you cant be attacked from behind. Small advantage but you have to take what you can get.

As for the fight itself, the standard buff spells should get you through. No notable enemy weaknesses for this one. Have some fire/acid for the trolls though.

If you need anything else post your party detais, its hard to advise you when i dont know what you have to work with.

Alright, thanks for the advice so far. Since I'll probably need as much help as I can get, here are the party details, as you requested.
Don't know how much info you'd need, so I'll just post a bunch of it... tell me if you need more. (Heh, I accidentally created two Rangers, but it's worked out for the best so far.)

Ranger - L7 : 63 hp (human)

Ranger - L7 : 57 hp (human)

Mage (Neocromancer) - L7 : 33 hp (human)

Fighter - L7 : 49 hp (elf)

Fighter/Cleric - L6/L6 : 51 hp (dwarf)

Fighter/Theif - L6/L6 : 46 hp (halfling)

Summoning works fine here too. If you can, summon undead and then use domething like cloud kill or stinking cloud. Undead are immune to these spells but the opponent are not. If you don't have thoose spells. Still use summons and ranged weapons on the enemies. If your summons are down to one or two summon some more.
