When I go to enter the cave into the Lower Dorn area and chapter 6 the game crashes. Getting the following message:

"an assertion failed in Infinity.cpp at line 1763. Programme says: demand for WED file failed."

Has anyone else encounter this problem? i have already tried uninstalling and re-installing the game and have down loaded the 1.06 patch but neither has solved the problem.

<font color=silver>Grellen, there is a bug that affects certain cd's of the UK version of the game. The bug causes a game crash when a player tries to enter Lower Dorn's Deep. This sound like the problem you describe.

cheers for that. finally found the solution just before i read your reply. it seems the bug only affected the uk versions. got the specific patch from the interplay website.
