I suppose that its been under my nose all along, but, well, where do you locate your party's reputation? Sounds silly, but I just can't seem to find it in the character records (a la BG 1 & 2). Where might it be????

<font color = lightgreen>Reputation in Icewind Dale is a "hidden" feature of your characters. Since it doesn't really have much of an impact, except for paladins/rangers and in shops, you don't see it. DaleKeeper will show you your current reputation, but why bother?</font>

well, sure, reputation is vital for paladins and rangers. However, it and charisma make a BIG difference when it comes to shopping. Early in the game, you can never really have enough gold.....
