I found Regina? the Priestess from the temple of Iltmar on the second level and freed her and the captives. However, she never returned home. Is she supposed to? did I mess this up I don't think I got the xp for freeing her either. She couldn't have gotten hurt with my spells as I didn't use any (a hasted Fighter- magic user with boots of speed, greater shild of lathander, and a sword of action makes quick work of trolls and priests alike - second time through game with the same party )
I don't remember if the first time around she did? But she is gone from the second level.

<font color=silver>To the best of my knowledge she simply remains on the second level. I upon subsequent returns to that level I have generally found her near the entrance to the thrid level where she will offer to guard the party while it rests.</font>

The priestess is important. The place where you found her should be towards the bottom left hand corner of the screen (If it isnt then just ignore the rest of this post-im thinking of somethin completely different). The place where she has gone to now is towards the top right hand corner of the screen, by a spiraling depression in the floor, that leads onto the next part of the game. The priestess will stay at the top of the depression to offer any healing services you may require. Also, make sure some fire spells handy, as this part of the map has a few ice trolls around
