I would recommend that you find a location that youy can easily defend -- someplace with only one entrance and plan on fighting there. If I remember correctly, your party has a number of multi-classed characters. Your fighter-magic users should also be reasonably good marksman with bows or whatever missile weapons thye use.

What I have done in this battle is to line the hallway to the main area with as many entangling and movement impeding spells as possible and take out Albion and the librarian. By this time the rest of the residents of the area are rushing to that hallway where hopefully they will be caught and therefore easy prey for missile weapons or incapacitating spells. At any rate the enemies won't make it through to you all at once and so should be a bit easier to take down. I've done this particualr fight a few times and I must say it's always been easiest with a druid in the party.

The battle with the high summoner, if you do it this way, is a seperate fight.

This is probably one of the toughest fights in the entire game, including the fights against end-bosses.

Follow Cyril's advice--use the terrain to your advantage. If you can situate yourself in/near a room with a door that you can close then you are in a good position; open the door to control the monsters coming in. Hold Person works against lizardmen, so if your clerics have that spell then use it; Chromatic Orb is good for holding foes, too.

Under no circumstances should you try to press forward through the halls to the High Summoner; always let the creatures come to you. Also, even though you are in the heart of enemy territory, keep an eye peeled for allies in your struggle.

Animate Dead will give you some temporary allies, and let you regroup. As always, anyone who can use a missile weapon should use one, since range is your friend.

Be aware that Animal Affinity gives its caster a poisonous melee attack....

hey thanks guys. i looked at the walkthrough and it gave great advice. if i got straight to that middle room ill have good allies right off the bat and i can fight everyone off from that room. i tried it once and made it pretty far but lost some guys so ill keep tryin till i get it but that seems to be teh best way. also i kept on resting as to keep summoning enemies to beef up my hp. it takes a while but is helpful and i really dont care how long it takes. the game rocks!!!!! but uh that dalekeeper thing looks pretty sweet...do you guys know why i cant get it?

From what site are you trying to download the program?

Malystrom 05-24-2002 10:35 AM

Hey! just as a future hint of advice. Once you get to Yuxomenei get your two best archers and give them all the plus 2 arrows you have found; have them stand up front and just fry her!

bghicsurf 05-24-2002 03:57 PM

thanks for the advice about the arrows ill def give that a shot. cyril im dl it from a site that azred gave to my in one of my posts. i dunno everyone i dl it, it says like im not allowed to access those files

Cyril Darkcloud 05-24-2002 04:08 PM

Do mean that you cannot acces files that have been successfully downloaded onto your hard drive? This may be due to your not having an unzipping utility installed, such as winzip. I was able to downloaded the dalekeeper program myself last night and had no difficulty accessing the files.

If you do need winzip, you can download a free evaluation version of the program here: http://www.winzip.com/download.htm

bghicsurf 05-24-2002 09:29 PM

Cyril Darkcloud 05-24-2002 09:39 PM
