I'm not cyril, but Joril is located inside a cave complex that is entered on the western part of the Wyrm's Tooth glacier map. You need to fix a broken bridge to gain access to the cave entrance. If you have already freed the prisoners from the salamanders, try looking in the room where you met them for a book that describes construction techniques. Then go to the broken bridge and you should get a message telling you that the bridge is fixed.

Return to the place where you met the slaves. You need to talk to Soth who should be standing over near the bookcases. Ask him about the books and then choose the dialogue option that mentions needing an engineering book so that a bridge might be fixed. He should then give you the book you'll need. You'll also pick up a good number of experience points for this.</font>
