I created a fighter with the expectation of dualing her over to a bard. STR 17, DEX 17, CON 16, INT 15, WIS 10, CHR 16, Alignment TN. At Kudarhar I leveled up to 2 and decided that I would now convert to a Bard. The only option that was given as to a Thief. Is there a way for Ne'Crea sing the praises of the troupe? Am running IWD HoW plus TotLm.

Is there a list that gives the options starting and ending classes available? it gets very discouraging to invest time and effort in character development and then find out that investment is worthless down the line.

As I understand it, these are 2nd Ed. rules, and bards can't be multi- or dual. Druids WERE that way in 1st Ed. and are only a kit in 2nd Ed. In IWD you can dual-class them. I've had to protect my bard & she's been kind of useless. Others probably know ways to do it, though. Have a great weekend1

Paladin and Bards can't dual class

and I can't remember if a Ranger can't or not ( I think the can dual to Cleric)

Other than that you must have 15 in you primary attribute (STR for Fighters) and 17 in your new careers primary attribute - that is why you could only dual yo a thief. (DEX = 17)

BTW - if you have HoW installed bards are great - at lvl 11 they get a song which allows tham to regenerate the entire party
