Hey folks,
Please give me some feedback on this Bard only item that I am trying to incorporate into the game. I'm looking for opinions regarding game balance and feasability. *** SPOILER ALERT *** * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * My plan is to edit Ambere Dunn in the HOW expansion so that if you convince her to return to her family she gives you this item. Thanks all! - Cerberus |

Yeesh!
My apologies, here it is... BARDCLK Mesmerizing Cloak This colorful flowing cloak was commissioned by the 'Master' Bard of Silverymoon, Phinneas Alger. Although he considered himself to be the most skilled musician of his time he was routinely snubbed by audiences. It was not until he had this cloak made that he gained the accolades he felt he deserved. Unfortunately his new found fame was also the cause of his demise. One evening after a particularly successful performance Phinneas was mobbed by adoring female fans and trampled to death as they attempted to touch their idol. His discarded cloak was claimed from the bloody cobblestones by one of those fans and kept as a memento of 'The Master'. STATISTICS: +1 Charisma, -2 AC When equipped on a Bard who is playing an instrument all enemy creatures within 20' have a 50% chance of being Slowed, 5% chance of being Held and 2% chance of being Dire Charmed. Only Usable By: Bard |
Some changes and clarification:
Change 'When equipped on a Bard who is playing an instrument' to 'When equipped on a Bard who is playing a Bard Song'. I know there are some issues with scripting events around player characters who are in a 'modal' state, but I'm not sure what all of the implications of this are. I may not be able implement this effect in this way, in which case I'll have to look at making it a 'Once per day' or 'Twice per day' kind of effect. - Cerberus |
Visit TeamBG and browse to their board; they have a section for editing/customizing Infinity Engine games and a specific board for scripting issues. Answers to many of your script questions will be found there.
Nice item, by the way. |
