i go up the stairs to the first encounter with the revered brother poquelin (the chaste;))

i fight him and after a little while he does his "dimension door" and the story telling narrator does his page flipping thing.

then it loads up the new and improved easthaven. but it says "paused for movie" in that commentary box thing. and the whole screen is dithered greay.

my people are standing there looking around, and i have zero control.

what is wrong with that picture? is my game broken? or did the makers just put an excessively long wait in there to filter out video game junkies that have had there attention spans slaughtered by fast paced games?

It definetly sounds like a bug.

I would try to play the battle again to see if helps.

tried both. i think maybe the patch for v1.06 caused it. because that i installed it just after i killed malavon and headed off to where i am now.

I doubt that the patch itself caused the problem unless (a) you installed the IWD 1.06 patch over HOW which definitely could have corrupted the game, or (b) your patch file got corrupted during download.

If you did (a) then back up your saved games and totally reinstall the game.

well, the patch was the problem it seems. and i don't even have HoW. i re-installed the game and now i'm fine. except that Belhifet is raping my team with grace. :mad:

That last comment created a really ugly visual ... about what Behlifet is doing to your party.

that's the point. my retinas have a permanent image of him cauterized into them from my incomprehension of belhifet's power straining my eyes too see something else in the image my monitor was projecting. like an optical illusion, my mind couldn't comprehend what was going on, so it forced my eyes to try and work it out (that i was actually whooping him). didn't happen.

What is your party composition and approximate level?

well this is the first time i've ever played it (haven't palyed BG either) so i had no real idea of what i was doing (now i've discovered that i totally screwed up my profficiences and strength etc.).

all my guys are about level 10-11

2]fighter - human
3]fighter - human
4]druid - elf
5]cleric - elf
6]mage - human

i can't recall many more details. i got HoW today, so i'll play that to build them up and then go back to him and avenge my lost time spent fighting him.
