harpies? bah they were nothing compared to the three beholders i ran into. I kept losing char. until finally i worked out a solution to get them. I took me over an hour to get the right combo/timing!

I'm doing the keep with my 3rd party (the only one with which I've finished IWD). They got to TotL by accident -- just looking around in HoW, not expecting to be whisked off immediately. Dumb of me to not read the README file, right? Oh well.

Anyway, here's my party:

Arial Seldarita -- Elf F/M/T (CG)
Holly Oakford -- 1/2 Elf Fighter/Druid (N)
Kragin Bloodaxe -- Dwarf Fighter (NG)
Zander Bifflechips -- Gnome Cleric/Illusionist (NG)

They suffered a LOT of pain and fear with the Crypt Things until I managed to map enough of the tomb to allow them to re-group safely.

I'm not playing in HoF-mode.

I retract my earlier statement about the harpies. A friend and I went thru the opening part of TOL again yesterday, and the harpies were toast. I learned some new tricks that made the harpies a LOT easier. [img]smile.gif[/img]

I went through for the first time recently (insane lvl), but once I had figured out a strtegy for the new enemies things went relatively easy - it was the riddles that caused me the most troubles (not a lot of them in BG1+2 or IWD+How).

I guess I am a little out of practce. ( Yes I needed help to get into the castle) :confused:
