Hello, I have Icewind Dale and I am having problems with the cheats. I followed the instructions and put Cheats=1 under the Game Options but when I push the ctrl+tab in the game nothing happens. Do you know what I am doing wrong.
Second with the downloadable patch v1.06 when I save it where do I need to put it so that it works in the game and do I open it or something. I don't know really how downloadable patches work.
Any advice is greatly appreciated!

Put the patch into you main Icewind dale folder .... its probably someplace like this:

\Program Files\Black Isle\Icewind Dale

then just click (or double click ) on the patch icon ... its self installing

Installing the patch should solve the cheat problem

Dale keeper is much better than having to type the cheats and edit the ini file. Don't know the location of it but its easy to find. Somewhere close to gate keeper. Of course I've cheated before but I dont make it a habbit for it ruins the game, well for some. I do use Dale keeper to get all of my weapons and stuff back after format c:/.

I don't cheat usually but I need to use only the Healing potion cheat. I don't see how you can play that game without being able to heal. Thats the only think I use! But thanks for the advice!

I know how that is, I was looking for raise the dead way early in the game after first playing. Not knowing it is far away from the early stages.
guess I should say but your welcome.
