Is it enough to use only the latest one , or do I have to download previous patches also?

The most recent patches are:

For IWD, version 1.06

For HOW, version 1.41*

*Technically, the last patch for HOW is the free downloadable dungeon expansion called Trials of the Luremaster which is version 1.42. DO NOT install any IWD patches over HOW after it is installed and or any IWD / HOW patches over TOL.

Is it possible that the IWD game that i bought a couple months ago came with the newest patch for IWD?? I have read plenty of forums where people have had tons of troubles with crashing and all, and most of the features that were mentioned (included in the patch) were sometimes al ready part of my game.

Again, i have not got any patch.

So, today, finally i purchased HOW!! (15 USD plus shipping). I want to know if i have to download any patches if my current version of IWD already works? One more thing. If you wonder what version i have (IWD 1.06, or whatever) please tell me where i can find it on the game.

So, do i need IWD 1.06 to install HOW. and do i need in install HOW 1.41?? Thankyou for your patience in understanding that

Some of the latest versions of IWD do apparently come with the latest patch already installed - so YES it is possible that you already have IWD v1.06. Check out the version number of IWD by highlighting the iwdmain.exe file and right clicking on properties.

It is probably a moot point though. Since you have HOW, go ahead and install HOW - that will automatically apply any and all previous IWD patches if they are needed. That only leaves the HOW 1.41 patch to install. As Azred recommends, go ahead and install that patch! Or better yet, if you have a FAST dl, go ahead and dl the freebiw expansion, Trials of the Luremaster and install that. It will apply some some additional patches and give you a few more areas to explore. [img]smile.gif[/img]
