I just bought IWD and went to the Game Options file as instructed. I put in Cheats=1 on the top line and saved it. Now when I hit Ctrl+Tab to bring up the input line and type in GETYOURCHEATON:""""""" I get a message Nice try Cheater!! In BG this code worked fine foe added gold and weapons. But here even after following the supplied instructions on your site my game still will not respond. What Gives????

GETYOURCHEATON: is only if you have the expansion Heart of Winter installed. If you're running regular IWD then you should use CHEATERSDOPROSPER:
