I went back to Kuldahar midway through wyrm's tooth. All the townspeople are trying to attack me.
Anyone know why?
Earlier I killed the theif that runs the inn, does that have anything to do with it?
I may be able to find out, but no one will even talk to me.

Yep, that could do it. Check your Reputation under your character's information. I think if your Reputation is lower than 8 there is a good chance the townspeople will attack you.
