Im standing in front of a door with some gears on either side after you kill all the skeletons. It says you need to find a lever to open the door but I cant find it. Can someone please tell me where it is.

I am assuming you are in the Vale of Shadows? I think the room you are talking about has a triangle-shaped platform with pillars surrounding it. Next to the right-most pillar there should be a switch just to the left of the pillar. It's hard to see but it's there.

If you have the Heart Of Winter expansion, press the "ALT" key to highlight doors and goods on the floor. Doors and door openers and such will appear in a red highlight.

Search, the lever is to the east of the caskets (triangles when you press ALT) but you will need to do all the other crypts 1st and get stuff.

Is It? I Thought It Was The Lever On The First Middle Pillar!

I finally (huff! puff!) made it to this room this morning, and (huffa! puffa! grunt! huff! puff!) laid to rest the defenders of gloom.

There are 3 pillars, each at the corner of a raised triangular dais in the middle of the room. The lever is on the pillar that is closest to where you originally entered the room (You entered the room by comming up the very wide stairs).

If you take a glob of jam from the breakfast table and smear a little of it on your computer screen, one glob where each pillar appears, the rightmost glob on your screen marks the pillar with the lever. However, from your party's perspective, as they come up the wide steps, it is the middle pillar: the one closest to the stairs. The lever is on the side of this pillar that is away from the stairs. The lever sort of blends in with the steps of the dais.

Now, lick that jam off yer screen and get back to playing!
