You can go to HoW. Icewind dale will be there when you finish HoW. You should probably try to do it before ending Icewind dale.

I disagree. You wont make it past the first barbarians at level 9.

I recommend that you try to finish the Severed Hand at least, before attempting HOW. For what its worth, I ran thru everything in IWD except for the battle with RBP in Lower Dorn's deep and the FINAL battle back in Easthaven before I headed off to the HOW areas.

There are a lot of nasty undead in HOW and having a beefed up cleric is a REAL plus!

Read the post, will ya. I said he should do HoW before ending Icewind dale. I didn't say he hast to do it right now or after Kuldahar is complete just before ending Icewind dale. Wether he wants to do it at level 9 is his choice.
