What site are you attempting to download from?

Have you considered downloading Trials of the LureMaster?

It carries the newest patch with it, plus is a free expansion for the game.

Grab it here

AFAIK if you have HoW you don't need any of the patches specifically made for the original IWD (HoW contains the latest patch for IWD). But there is a patch (1.41) for HoW. And if you install ToLM, is will patch the entire game up to 1.42 (or something like that).

Beware, ToLM is a *huge* download - around 73 MB or so. http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/noncgi/smiles/eek.gif

a DNS error? That error is most likely site specific. Try a different Download site. Also, if you have a Cable Modem or similar high speed connection, pay attention to the actual DNS number at the bottom of your browser while you try connecting to the page. If the DNS number starts with a 192, you may have a little known conflict brought on by the network card on your machine, call you Internet Service Provider for details on how to correct it.
