When I'm trying to play IWD my characters stutter when trying to walk from one place to another. What can I do to stop this?

I have had the same problem from time to time and it never made sense. What was really weird is that if I went to another section it stopped. All I can say is that I think it is your computer gets fickle and it isn't the game itself. I think it lies in the video card and frame rate.

Makes about as much sense as anything I've come up with. I tried changing the settings on my CD-ROM so it won't read ahead but it did nothing. I just hate it when it does that because it makes fighting enemies a bit more difficult.
