Is there any way of getting down the big black hole next to Nim the dark elf merchant's house in lower Dorns Deep near the svirneblin village.

I've heard you can get boots of elevation or some such item but I can't work out how for the life of me.

Incidently I know how to kill nim so no posts on that please

Man, that's gotta be the longest lasting IWD related hoax going around. I remember that one when the game first came out. And no, those boots aren't down that hole, or even in the game that I know of.

hoax? umm, actually i think i started it? http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...les/tongue.gif i once noticed a random message from the gnomes in that area alluding to boots and potions somewhere nearby. I looked in the override and found Boots00 and assumed they were some magic goodies. >shrug< the way that gnomish city is laid out, it just REEKS of "hidden shrine" accessable from the one room in which you can rest. but it's not in the game. i posted the question or possibility many month ago on this board, so maybe that's where ya saw it.
i guess they took that idea out just like they took out the Glory of Suffering quest (and franky i'm apalled that they couldn't; with all the patches and expansions, put the Glory of Suffering armor quest in the game!!!! ergh! There's even Dialogue for it, but somehow the triggers have been erased)

but anyways, what kind of items does Nym have on him... anybody?

I looked him up in InfinityExplorer. All he has on him is 397 gold. Absolutely nothing else which is odd--for a Drow. Oh, and he's worth 7,000XP, he's level 15, and has 63HP.
