I beat this lich in Dorns Deep and then i got into chapter 5 which is the big ice fortress in the Glacier. There i met some people who asked me to kill a salamander. This i did and then they all thanked me and escaped. However the only locations i can now find lead either to the World map or to Chapter 6.
I know that something must be wrong as it mentions Frost giant halls. The only area i havn't explored is across a rope bridge. Can anyone tell me where the big, obvious door is please.

Well, across that bridge is one of the 6 badges you are looking for. You will need to repair the bridge, or use the cheat console, and do a CTRL+J to move your party over there. That is where the giants are residing. IS there something else you needed? I may have misunderstood your question, and will be glad to offer more assistance.

To repair the bridge you need the engineering book, the guy who had it will have dropped it on the west side of the library if you hadnt gotten it from him

Trying to get across the bridge was the biggest problem I found in the game. Until a friend told me about the book, I was completely lost.

I always follow all the map edges and just figured that was a "dead" zone

I don't believe that i missed that! Thanks for the help everyone. Its good that i asked before going any further, or starting again.
