I have just entered the shadow vale, crypt one and can't find the first key..I have killed all the skeletons and looted the two bodies I found but no key..help please....

The first crypt key should be found by searching the buddha statue you reach by traveling straight from the entrance.

The Icewind Dale maps show this as the location, as well. Let us know if this helps.

Thanks for the suggestion...I checked the map section and the crypt I was referring to was labled area three, no buddha statue that I can see...What am I missing, again help....

what area are you talking about? you can't find the key? what key? the "gate"key, is in the buddha as secribed earlier (it's the 2nd crypt on the vale of shadows board)
or are you in Kresselack's tomb? you'd need the gate key to get in there; then there's another key in the lower right crypt in the Vale board (moselium key) so you can get further into Kresselack's tomb.. unless of course you're already in his tomb and are haivng trouble opening the big hidden door in the room with the distrubed looking grave.... <shrug>
