If you have a multiclassed character and the experience cap is 161,000 both of the classes will reach the cap like any other normal classed character right?
|
Nope... Both classes count towards the total, so you can only get half the amount of XP in each class, 80,500 to be precise. Those triple-classes (Fighter/Mage/Thief & Fighter/Cleric/Thief) are even worse, they max out at one third of the XP cap for each class.

J'aran means Fighter/Cleric/Mage, there is no Fighter/Cleric/Thief. I wish there was a Cleric/Mage/Thief, though......
Multiclasses are by NO means a bad choice, you just have to realize that they're not as focused as their Single-classed counterparts. A Mage/Thief is not going to reach the highest-level spells anywhere near as fast as a true Mage, for instance, but his combination of skills makes him incredibly versatile (like Stealthing around, casting a Fireball or two, then going right back into Stealth), and well worth his weight in a party. |
