Hi all,

I've installed IWD and HOW and have been getting along ok.
Having finished Wyrm's tooth i'm trying to return to Kuldahar to drop off my loot.

My problem is that the game crashes as soon as I go to the world map.

Has anyone come across this problem before?
Do the patches rectify this?
Any ideas or suggestions greatly appreciated?

Welcome Smudge.

Yes, I'd start with the patch. You should only need the HOW patch if you installed both IWD and HOW. Other measures get a bit more drastic . . .

1) reinstall
2) delete the contents of the cache file

And measures bordering on cataclysmic include . . .

1) deleting the override folder

Others have had similar problems. But try the patch and see where that gets you. You also might try an old save game and replay for a while.

This should get you there. If you don't have Go!Zilla, you may want to download it. The UK Specific patch is BIG, and UK gamers need it.

Tried a reinstall to no avail.
I think I installed the IWD patch instead of the HOW patch so i'll download it tonight and cross my fingers.

if that doesn't help, try removing your override folder, load IWD and try again. if no help, try making a new save point, quit out of the game completly and then reload and retry.
