I heard somewhere that this can be done...but can it? And how?

You can indeed make your own custom scripts for BG1/2 & IWD. There's quite a few sites out there that will guide you step by step through the process of generating a script, which isn't to say that it's exactly easy however. It's tough to make a good script. I tried once but mine was even worse than the ones included in the game :D I wish I could give you some tips but all I have is a link.

i just found out about this when searching my cd's
think i will be having a go at it as i've been keenly into moderate forms of sort of programming, which this looks to be very like (looks like Visual basic almost).

but i was thinking that to start i'd make some crossover class scripts as i have many dual class characters and especially with cleric/warrior it gets annoying that i cant get the best of both sorts of abilities.

but as to this, does anyone have many suggestions of what would be very useful to put in as modification to the standard scripts. because i can only think of one or two things, and i'm sure there are more interesting things to be done with some.

any suggestons then?

i'm gonna be doing:

cleric/warrior

cleric/wizard

thief/wizard/warrior

improved warrior (middle type, not defense completely and not passive either)

and improved wizard (coz wizard ones lack detail & my wizard dies alot because)

Well... I got an Archer script and a Paladin script on my website. Some people downloaded it... but... the feedback has been minor. I actually got a half-completed Cleric script, but I don't feel motivated to finish it given the lack of feedback.

Sigh... ...

ADD] You can download both scripts here.
