Is anybody playing IWD and/or HOW online? Where? How? Who do I have to kill?

I'd be interested in starting a game. It would have to be later in the week though.

As I understand it, we should see if our systems match up before trying too much. There may be problems if we don't run the same sorts of programs. I currently have IWD and HOW installed. I have not yet downloaded the patch for HOW.

My system is an Athalon 700mhz, with 168mb ram and a 56k modem that usually connects around 45k.

And you?

I agree... I have an 750 Athalon, 128 RAM Cable Modem. I'm running HOW without any patchs. Pretty standard. My game's frame rate is 30. I guess we have to be running at the same rate for it to work. Is anybody else playing?

I haven't played IWD mulit-before, but I assume it is like BG2 in that one person hosts and the other can just log in to the IP. Since you have a faster modem, you should probably host.

I usually set my frame rate at 40. Otherwise we look pretty compatible.

How's Thursday night? Say 9:00 EST?

Thursday night sounds Good. I'll change my settings to match yours. Give me your email address and I'll send you my IP. My firewall might pose a problem, but I'll see if I can't get around it.

Hey Gaelic,
I didn't mean to blow you off. Truth be known, I totally overlooked your post. Sorry about that. Its good to see someone on the board from my neck of the woods.

No blood, no foul. Cox@home is damn good for online gaming. What do you use for a firewall? I had major problems with Norton Personal Firewall, myself.
