Why? I have it enabled in my current game and it appears to work sometimes. My thief is much more agile in combat and has "hamstrung" at least one opponent.

Is there something I'm missing?

Try to spoil as little as possible since some players may be starting their first IWD game and might think this is a good idea. Try to use hypotheticals if you need to illustrate an example.
