Hi all,
After finishing Icewind Dale with no technical problems, I did a full install of Heart of Winter. Shortly after starting the game, I tried to zone into the Barbarian Camp, and it locks up my system. I tried several times but get the same result. Found some ActiveX problems but they've been fixed. I'm using DX7.0a, but I don't think it's a DX problem. My system is modest but adequate: PII, Celeron 400 Nearly a gig free on HD Voodoo 3 2000 AGP SB 32AWE disabled 256K Mb RAM No conflicting software running in background. Has anyone else experienced this? Thanks for any suggestions. Jasmir |
I had this happen the first time I tried to go to the barbarian camp, but it never did it again after that. Now it just does "other" things that are annoying even though they don't actually crash the game.
You could try to just warp into the level instead of running to the edge of the town map and then crossing over to the camp's zone in the normal way. Doubt it would make a difference though. Just a strange idea. What version of Windows you have running anyways? I'm using W98SE with DX8. |
Hi Khanar,
Thank you for responding. Oops, forgot -- my OS is Win98 SE. I'm not sure what you mean by "warp into the level" as opposed to zoning into the camp. I can't get back to Kuldahar. Could you elaborate? http://www.tgeweb.com/ironworks/cgi-...iles/smile.gif Maybe I should just uninstall and reinstall, but I've done that once already. |
