In IWD - The Severed Hand, I have obtained the 4 broken machine parts and given them to Gelarith and the astrolabe is working as far as I can tell, however, neither Gelarith or Larrel will talk to me and I cannot get any further. I know of one other person who has had this problem in another forum and no one had answered her question yet. Has anyone run across this problem and is there a way around it ???

Aren't there 5 pieces to the astrolabe?

There are 5 pieces to the Astrolabe. This site has maps for the Hand which will show you where your 5th piece is (it worked for me). There si also a patch for Larrel's speech here too
