After getting the sixth badge following the murder of Joril, I can't figure out what I'm supposed to do next. ?????

Well, if you have all 6 badges, go back to where you killed the Idol, and put them in the slots under the staircase in the corner. They'll open up the staircase, which will take you to the big P!

I know this is old sting-cheese here, but i am still curious as to why i still have the badges... I am finished, done, vammooos with IWD and am into HOW now, and i have those badges: can i sell them, or give them away. I hate to leave them on the ground in case someone picks them up and turns the world in side out or something!!

New note. I found a 'badge' type thing for the Bear Tribe. Is it important as the others were? LATA SKATA!

If you are referring to a certain badge type item (actually more like a talisman) found in Burial Isle, then YES. It is important.
