I have gotten all 6 badges but cannot seem to use them. I did not know what the places on the floor were for the first time I was in the room an clicked on them at random and got the locked message. Now when I try to click on them I do not even get the chest cursor. It is as if they are just art on the floor. How do I get the badges to work?? I really hope I don't have to revert to a long distant saved game (thank goodness I have one if necessary)

You already used the badges, all you had to do was take the stairs! Once the things that are locked on the floor are unclickable that means they have been "unlocked", so unlock all six things on the floor and then just walk up the stairs!
