<font color="cyan">All you can do is install the latest patches....they are available here on the IW site.

But, even with them installed, it will probably just freeze. It is one of the most unstable net games I have ever tried to play...so much so, it has never NOT frozen for me.

The solution to this is relatively simple.

Make sure that you have the exact same setup as the person you're trying to connect to. The setup includes the following elements:

1- Direct X version (check by running the diagnostic tool in the DIrX folder under Program Files on your computer)
2- Game version (check by clicking the ReadMe button on game startup)
3- Game patch status and version (check by clicking the ReadMe button on game startup)
4- Direct X patch version (this you just have to know what you have installed.)

Don't use this site as a source for the patches. Use the official bioware site patches just make to be sure all the patch file versions are the same.

You have to have all those things in common in order to connect to the other person's computer. It's not too hard to do.

I play MP on the web with someone weekly (TCP/IP protocol) and I have an MP setup on my local home network (IPX protocol). So, it's far from impossible. In fact, once you understand what you have to do, it's not much effort.

Good luck

Whats your frame rate and cache size frame rate has to be the same as who ever you are playing usually 30fps and you have to set your cache size to 300mb

ps check your private messages I replied to your message

And if all else fails, you can try one more thing (this usually fixes all problems with the games, not the pc) uninstall then re-install...could be your best bet
