Hi all. It's been a while since I played BG but for some reason I remember my thief in BG being able to hide much faster than my thief in Icewind Dale. Does anyone know if this is true? Sometimes it takes upwards of 15 seconds to hide in IWD but I remember it being almost instantaneous in BG. Im wondering if Im just dreaming =D

Yes, there is a significant period of time to hide in shadows in IWD. Though sometimes it's straight away, other times it does take a while. Why? I have no idea.... Perhaps it's factoring in the effects of shadows or something? Cheers
