I just finished the Severed Hand. What a nice fortress it was. I would like to see it when the elves were still runing the place. Just before the astrolab, there is a library. Does somebody know if there is hidden treasure in it? What the purpose of the stairs on North-East side? Is it important for the rest of the game to read all the books you can get from the guy? Thanks.

In the library is a book about Mythals that the mage in Kuldahar wants you to get to him.

The Wizard back in town asked that if you found any books on the curse (can't remember exactly what it's called, blame being at work!) could you please bring them to him and he pay well for them. One of the books you find oin that library is just that, so grab it and bring it back to Kuldahar and you get some good exp.
