Hello, I'm just started BG1 and I'm in Beregost. There's a couple of things I like to learn..

1-I noticed that there's lots of buildings, houses in map. Should I check every resident? Some are locked, do you unlock/bash them? And I'm level 1, after Beregost I'm thinking about going to Nakshel is it the right way? I'll be happy if you give some beginning tips, warnings,wher ere to go first, xp quests etc

If you haven't been to the friendly Arms Inn I suggest you go there before going south to Nashkel

Yes check every house some of them containes items (stealing), NPC's and small quests. You will have to force open the locked doors if you don't have a thief that can pick the locks. (there are no quests or NPC's behind the closed doors, so if you are good, you don't have to break into any houses
