well i've beaten BG and TotSC, and tried to install my trusty ol SoA and it gives me an error message ox80040707, i tried to look up some patches, downloaded them, and i can't use them now until i've installed my SoA.... never had this problem years ago... by the way i'm using windows xp now. please help.... thanks

<font face="Verdana" size="3" color="#009999">Windows XP should not matter. It could be a scratch on the disc. Use Game Doctor to try and repair CD. I am assuming it brings up the error during the install.</font>

ok, thanks for the responses, um the exact message is internal failure then the error number listed above, and then nothing in the description. but the disk is very clean, and i've used it before, years ago... i dunno...

thanks again, well i tried the 2 easier ones.. but no progress, the other makes me a bit nervous, um, my girlfriend has a much newer version, i have the 4 disc one, and i'll see her around christmas...(i'm assuming this'll fix it) suppose i'll just play knights of the ol'republic until... thanks again....
