I got captured by Irenicus (SoA). In the dream the essence thing won't follow me through the door as it should. (Of course I tried loading an earlier savefile and trying again.) Is there a way around this? I got ToB and the latest patch installed. Maybe a patch or cheat?

install the official ToB Patch and ToB Fixpack.

Unfortunately, the fixpack didn't make it better. Is there possibly any way to cheat past it?

Are you talking about the dream with the Bhaal essence that you and Imoen are supposed to kill? Try luring Bhaal as close to the library doors as you can before entering, and then enter it. Or maybe you need to talk to Imoen first, I forget.

Try hitting it a few times. Get it angry ;)

I tried getting the essence (yes it's in the dream) as close to the door and hitting him before I posted. It obviously didn't work. And I posted in the ToB forum because I have ToB installed and thought it might be a ToB specific bug, or that it might alter patch related information.
