My party is still in SoA. With Tactics mod there's a Lich who's actually a she. In the Docks to be precise. So I went there with my party and didn't quite know how should I prepare. Then Aerie casted Energy Blades I put Mace of Disruption in her off-hand. I went in and Aeire attacked her. She was dead after about 5 seconds. This is a very cheesy combination. I mean you can do it with Melf's Minute Meteors to, but throwing MoD is very cool. :D

I thought that you can't change any weapons if you have a spell weapon in action (energy blades, MMM, flame blades, etc), even in the off hand. Bug?

No you can't. I wrote it wrong. First I gave her MoD then she casted EB.

That's how it works? So if I'm using dragonslayer and cast energy blades, will my energy blades cause extra damage against dragons?

Energy Blades sets your ApR to 9. So, with the MoD in the offhand, one round of attacks goes like:
EB, EB, EB, EB, MoD, EB, EB, EB, MoD.
All of the attacks are ranged. Melf's Minute Meteors does the same thing. It's too cheesy for my taste, so I don't know if having a weapon in the offhand actually makes the MMMs or EBs last longer.

But personally, I think your main ally against the Lich in the Docks was luck, since you happened to catch her at one of the rare moments when she wasn't under PfMW.

The power of that particular Lich lies almost completely in her very intricate script. Usually she is nigh untouchable for several turns after the fight begins by anything but very high level or specialized parties . But, disrupt her early on, something that throws her off track, and it starts a domino effect that leaves her as vulnerable as an ordinary vampire for the remainder of the fight. :D

I was thinkhing the same thing. Also she doesn't always have the same spells. Sometimes she casts Ice Storm, sometimes Cloudkill.

Hey, that's a very cool trick. ;)

Camembert du Brie's successors will surely use this one. Not with EB of course but with a scroll of MMM and MoD in off-hand that's one cheesy trick.

You could even email Userunfriendly for his next Cheese Guide. :D

Maybe I should. But then again, that's not the Holy Grail among cheeses anyway. I mean it's pretty common cheese so I don't know if it's worth it. ;)

The MMM Exploit has been around for a long time. I was the first to talk about it on these forums, and one of my earliest mention of it can be found in the following thread.
