I seem to be having alot of trouble in the graveyard cave in the desert town.

I have found we get a moment to cast before the Lich brings in reinforcements and between my PC Mage and Aerie we get a get shot at the Lich with Dragon breath and Sunray. The problem is Imoen is supposed to throw in a sunray from the Daystar sword but for some reason she just stands there motionless. Then a few seconds later she and HD are wacked by a Banshee.

I turned the AI off, it tends to overide cast magic commands. But I can't figure why she doesn't cast the spell. Also I can't figure out what I can do to protect her from the banshees short of a high speed Minsc or Sarevok attack.

Is it charged, does she have it in a weapon slot...

Can she see the target, is the target visible..

Now how are you getting "whacked" is it physical damage (stoneskins, mirror image) or magical (death ward, globe of invurablity)

It might be because she's recently cast a spell or spell like ablity and so is stuck in the pause between castings.

Did Imoen recently cast a spell or use a spell like ability from an item of hers? I'm not sure how often it is, but I know that each character can only do this every so often. Try waiting a few seconds before summoning the lich and maybe she'll be able to do this.

Solved the problem by leaving Imoen in Hell and taking Jaheira. She cast Death ward on a few members, as did Aerie and we cleaned up the Graveyard.
