How can i get to 5 attacks per round, i mean that grand mastery (5 points) in a weapon doesn't seem to add that 1/2 extra attack per round; is this a bug?

What? I am unsure what you want. Anyway, do you have all the patches?

The mastery tables in BG2 are nerfed. Possibly BW did it to balance the game. Possibly its a typo. Theres a fix for it somewhere, I think that IWs BG2 area has it.

EaseOfUse unnerfs grand mastery.

IMHO, "un-nerfing" grandmastery helps the baddies much more than you, unless you're playing with full-classed Fighters (or cheating).

You can get to 5 attacks per round anyway without grandmastery mod or haste:

1 APR (attack per round) base
+1/2 APR: specialization fighter/ranger/paladin
+1/2 APR: 7th level fighter/ranger/paladin
+1/2 APR: 13th level fighter/ranger/paladin
+1 APR: Dual-wield (secondary weapon)

That's 3 1/2 attacks per round so far.

*SPOILERS* on specific items:

.
.
+1 APR: Weapon with +1 APR ability (Kundane, Belm, Scarlet Ninja-To, all SOA items, and grant the +1 APR to the main hand weapon when used in the offhand)
+1/2 APR: Gauntlets of Extraordinary Specialization (TOB item)

Total: 5 attacks per round.

<span style="color: lightblue">Unfortunately, Ease of Use's "unnerfing" is often viewed with a great deal of skepticism. This is mainly because of its "unnerfed THAC0 + Spell Tables" and "Shapeshifter Rebalancing", both of which go ridiculously far into the overpowering regions (or, atleast, did in the past: the situation may have been improved by now)...
The unnered grand mastery is an exception to this in that it restores it only too the same level found in other games (although some still find problem with it), but it can't be viewed as a 'bug fix'. The reason Bioware nerfed it is unknown, but it was intentional. This can be confirmed by a visit to Baldurdash. The patch in Ease of Use is a slightly modified (I believe that it updates the relevant file rather than replacing it) version of the one found on the Baldurdash Tweaks and Cheats page, which says:

James Shumacher's TeamBG Grandmastery Patch is an alteration I'd prefer to throw into the Bugfixes, if only it wasn't deliberate. In IWD, BG1 and AD&D guidelines, going from 4 to 5 proficiency points in a weapon reduces THAC0 by 1, adds 1 to damage rolls, and gives an extra attack per round to 5/2. In BG2, it only adds one to damage. Rather takes the "Grand" out of "Grandmastery" I think. Install this patch to restore Grandmastery to what it was.
