Who would you say is the best tank in the game?I say that the best tank is minsc he has awsome attacks and can use some powerful weapons!

SHar Teel will wipe the floor with minsc!! She is stronger, meaner , and best of all EVIL

IMO if you want a 'tank' with attacking skill chose Shar-Teel, if you want the best 'blocker' then chose Kagain (with the Gauntlets of Dexterity) - better still get them both. ;)

My favorites:

#1: Kagain with the Gauntlets. HP and regeneration will always win the day.
#2: Minsc, maybe with the Gauntlets. Butt-kicking for goodness!
#3: Ajantis, again with the Gauntlets. But GOD, do I hate his voice.

Kagain and Ajantis could stand to have a few STR potions in their Quick Slots. Heck, you always have a huge pile of potions sitting around by the end of the game anyway, might as well see what they taste like.

The 2nd tier (Backup Tanks) includes Kivan, Shar-Teel, Yeslick, and Khalid.

How is Shar-Teel stronger than Minsc? The only way to get stronger is with 18/00 strength or above 18. IIRC Shar-Teel has a strength around 18/57. I could be wrong about the exact number but it's somewhere around there.

I'd just like to say that in one of my games I used Tiax as my main Tank. He has good stats in Dexterity and Constitution, plus lots of special skills that make him very useful - Cleric/Thief is one of my favoutite combinations. He also has one of the best attacks in the game - the Wand of Heavens - so Tiax WILL rule.

Kagain is the best tank if your playing evil

Ajarsis -||- good

Both need Gauntless of DEX + STR potions for those difficult fights

Although a player character can easily be better than either of them

I used him as the main fighter in a party, too. He's pretty okay. I also tried to use Quayle, but he just didn't quite work out. I've used Xan as the back-up fighter in that game, too.

It all depedns on your alignment, really.

Minsc is much better than Ajantis, IMHO, he has better strength and HP, and give him teh gauntlets.

Evil, Shar-Teel's pretty good.

(Quayle???how could you get him to be a decent fighter?)
