I seem to remember having some guy come up to me at the bridge into BG and ask to smuggle me across. Now, me being the lazy, boneidle SOB that I am, I can't be bothered to go back and find out, so I thought I'd ask you lucky, lucky people about the relevence to this man.

He offers to smuggle you across is all. You pay him 20gold or something like that, then you basically follow him up the bridge where he tells you "I guess it wasn't so bad after all." Then leaves. You didn't miss a thing really, and the guy is only a fast way of loosing 20gp.

Yeah, it's useless, there are no guards there, and after that, just run away from them before they can talk to you.
