Quote Dundee Slaytern

"Demogorgan has high magic resistance(MR), and he is immuned to spells of level 1-6."

The question is, does Lower resistance affect the Demogorgan? It is a level 5 spell and the book says magic resistance is ignored

No it doesn't. (Liches aren't effect by LR also)

Thankyou Xen.

So I guess the book is wrong :(

Nope, the book is correct. If you cast it on a Drow (who have MR) it would work 100% of the time. And logically, the spell wouldn't be much use otherwise ;)

Being innately immune to spell levels is a different matter to having a certain amount of resistance to magic. These characters are so powerful that spells of a low level wouldn't have a hope of even getting their attention.

It would be a bit like hitting a god with a stick. Just because it's a stick +1 doesn't really mean he's going to notice...
